The basics
How
Take it to any IKEA store's Exchanges & Returns desk, or start the return online. For delivered items that need a pickup, contact the Customer Support Center. Small items can go back via FedEx through Customer Support.
The catch
IKEA Planning Studios and Pick Up Points don't accept returns.
Exchanges need the item, photo ID, receipt or order confirmation, and the card you paid with.
