Steps
Log in to your account from a desktop or mobile browser at headspace.com. The mobile app will not do it.
Go to headspace.com/subscription/manage.
Click or tap the CANCEL MEMBERSHIP link.
What happens

Subscriptions bought directly on Headspace.com are non-refundable, though Headspace says it will look at special circumstances if you email [email protected]. App Store and Google Play sales are final and non-refundable, and refunds there are Apple's or Google's decision.
The catch
No CANCEL MEMBERSHIP button? Email [email protected] and the team will do it.
Bought through Apple: Settings app, tap your name, Subscriptions, pick Headspace, Cancel Subscription. That stops the auto-renewal at the end of the current billing cycle.
Bought through Google Play: Play Store, Menu, Subscriptions, pick Headspace, Cancel subscription.

Got Headspace free through an organisation? Nothing to cancel. It expires on its own.
